NATURAL FLAVOUR OF JAPANESE GYOKURO TEA
The methods of producing organic green tea are valuable because they only make up to 5% in the total proportion of Japan. The number of tea makers who applies organic approaches and use single origin tea, like Kawabata Tea Farm, is very rare and worth respecting.
Gyokuro tea is considered the top notch of all type of Japanese teas. Grown and cultivated specifically under shade condition, Gyokuro tea leaves become remarkably unique with needle-like shape and dark green colour.
Farmers carefully select and handpick the two young leaves adjacent to each burgeon, one by one to ensure premium quality.
As a part of manufacturing process, the company apply "Asamushi" - a traditional practice, in which tea leaves are steamed in only a short period of time.
Furthurmore, using single origin tea means that there is no other type of tea blended in product, thus fully preserve the taste, shape and scent of each leaf.
Tasting memo: Gyokuro has a taste of the umami and an irresistable fragrance, which is completely different from Sencha or any types of tea you have ever tasted.
